Welcome to PEOPLE’S EDUCATION AND RIGHTS TRUST         People’s Education and Rights Trust (PERT) is an independent and non-profit voluntary organisation, functioning for people’s empowerment in North Tamilnadu. PERT is registered as a Public Charitable Trust and also registered under the FCRA of Government of India, as well as got exemption from Income Tax.     Our area of work involves community mobilisation, economic development, environment conservation, literacy movement, advocacy, documentation, training and campaign for social justice issues. We are one of the foremost pioneers in Tamilnadu – India, for the empowerment of indigenous communities and social justice.     PERT initiated its social work in 1995 under the leadership of Mr. A.P.Kanniyappan Daniel and it is officially registered on 21st January 1998. The central office of PERT is located in Uttiramerur of Kancheepuram District, Tamilnadu.
